Closed on the House!

We closed on our house on Monday! And things have been crazy. We are doing a lot of remodeling right now. Eric's parents and brothers are here helping us. So far the projects that are going on are: complete remodel of upstairs bathroom, tiling laundry room, adding a door from the garage to the dinning room, adding a pantry, making a play place under the stairs, electrical in the garage and painting every single wall in the house! We have been busy and will be busy for awhile! I will add before and after pictures once projects are done. So far nothing yet.

New Blog

Ok, I know few months ago I started a different blog but I felt it was not specific enough for people to enjoy. So I talked with Eric and we decided we should have a blog that is really what people think of us....which is food. So This blog is mainly Eric's stuff, and recipes we like, some we have changed a little.

It is still in progress but I wanted to share!

Aiden's 3rd brake in 7 months...

Colar Bone in Jan, Right Leg June, Left Arm July...

I think I am going to have to ask again if he has a bone problem because this is getting crazy! He jumped backwards into Lily's port-a-crib from our bed on Friday. We took him to Children's and they could not find anything. They said if he was still not using his arm on Monday to come back and see the Ortho. Well, it just so happened to be the same day we were going to be seeing the Ortho to get his leg cast off. Monday rolled around and they took more x-rays...still could not find anything. They thought it was a Nurse Maids Elbow, after 2 doctors and a specialist they decided he had full range of motion and that meant a brake they can not see. We will find out in 3 weeks when they do x-rays again.

Aiden- Future Stunt Devil

Eric and I were folding laundry and Aiden decided it would be cool to jump into Lily's port-a-crib. (That was Lily starting to cry at the end of the video.)

Lily's Growling

She has found she has a voice and she loves to growl all the time. She didn't growl too much in the video but oh well. When I was little I did the same thing!

Food, Inc.

Last night Eric and I went to see this movie. It is an amazing movie and I think every family needs to see it. I know we are going to be changing what we are eating. We were already headed this direction but this movie has given us more of a drive to do it. It is in theaters now, but only a few locations.

The Future of Food

Eric and I just finished watching this video and we wanted to pass this information along. The whole video is an hour and a half so plan on it taking time. It's pretty crazy!

A Days Trip!

So Yesterday we decided we need to get out of Grandma's house and do something fun! We had a full day planned and it worked out perfectly! First we headed to Tiny Town, looked at the houses, played at their park (Aiden blew me away at what he can do with a broken leg....I always seem to under estimate this boy.) After playing we had lunch, we looked at some more houses then we road the train! That was Aiden's favorite part. Then we got in the car (both kids fell asleep...just like we planned!) We headed down to Colorado Springs to see the Garden of the Gods. (Kids woke up as we pull into the parking lot...again just how we wanted it to happen!). We walked around for awhile then we headed over to Manitou Springs and had dinner and walked around the cute little town. Before we left we grabbed ice cream and we headed home!

Sorry I only seemed to get pictures of Tiny Town!

Aiden's "Big Shoe"

To Aiden his cast is a big shoe! And it does not slow him down at all.

Broken Leg

Well I have been meaning to post about this but our camera does not have an SD card, so it is somewhere in a box and I wanted to post with a picture. But oh well!

Last week I was cleaning our main bathroom when I heard Aiden scream from the living room. I ran in there to find Aiden laying on top of a 1 inch binder that was sticking out from under the coffee table and he was holding the broom. My guess is he was running with the broom and tripped over the binder that was sticking out. Well I did not think much of it and he was just whinny and I gave him some tylenol and let him was a movie. He let me move his leg around and he was just not consistent with his whinning for me to want to take him to the ER.

The next morning after I got home from going to my visiting teaching interview Eric told me he thought we should take Aiden to Children's to get his leg checked out. He was worried that he was not walking on it. So on our way to the Hospital I told Eric we should tell them that we at least know it is not broken because it's not!

Turns out he had a toddlers fracture where they could not rule out that he did not have a fracture but they could really tell just by how he would let them move his leg. We asked the doctor if he has any bone problems since he broke his colar bone in January and she said there were no signs at all and that he was just a really rough boy (can not wait for the future!). They put him in a splint until monday then we came back and he got a light blue cast with a neon green stripe the wraps around it. ( Thats why I want pictures of it).

He is fine and nothing stops him with it. He is walking, running and climbing with it. He gets the cast off July 20th!

House Update

Well we still have no idea when our closing date is. We are out of our apartment and we are so grateful that Grandma and Grandpa Holloway were nice enough to let us stay. Our old ward was so nice to load us up and unload all of our stuff into Grandma and Grandpa's Garage. And we are going to miss the Woodglen Ward very much!

We will let you know when we know our closing date or when we move in!
